Coaches Raul C. Sabado, J.D., Head Coach
Professor Sabado instructs the mock trial class, PLS 308, at Cal Poly Pomona. He is a trial attorney for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office. A Cal Poly Pomona alumnus himself (class of 1999), he majored in economics. While a student at Cal Poly Pomona, he served in a number of leadership capacities and founded various organizations. Professor Sabado went on to earn his juris doctorate degree from Loyola Law School. His passion for courtroom trial work and his exceptional talent for public speaking became evident during law school, where he specialized in trial advocacy. Also while attending law school, Professor Sabado established the mock trial program at Cal Poly Pomona. After tremendous success under his leadership, the program gained a permanent academic home in the Political Science Department.  Orsolya Forgo is a trial attorney for the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department. Ms. Forgo is also a Cal Poly alumnus, class of 2001, and a graduate of Loyola Law School, class of 2006. As a law student, Ms. Forgo served as a staff writer on the prestigious Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review, a scholarly journal especially devoted to complex legal issues in the areas of entertainment, sports and communications law. Ms. Forgo also clerked for a number of Los Angeles Superior Court judges and a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee. During her years at Cal Poly Pomona, Ms. Forgo founded the re-establishment chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a national business fraternity. She was elected as the chapter's first female president. From there, she continued her service to the students as the Attorney General for the Associated Students, Inc., and as the Graduate Business Senator for the United Business Student Senate. Ms. Forgo earned her bachelor's degree in international business and a minor in business law. |
